Day 2 (part 2)

the one who governs Hell Valley ^^*snow-capped mountain ranges.. beautiful backdrop.. Shiraoi Ainu Village.. tribal.dried preserved salmon.

one of the tribal songs.. it's quite sad to hear that the culture is dying away... and some of its people are hiding their origins to avoid discrimination... walking on thin ice..ha, the map is nt very difficult to comprehend.. melon flavoured Kitkat. it's realli gd... lol. oh anyway melon is one of the more popular fruit there. you get to see melon flavoured ice-cream, pocky, chocoloates etc... they even hav the fruit itself fetching a price of over a S$1000. they removed the other fruits leaving only one to develop.

Day 2 (part 3)

@ the bear Ranch... the bear hops and waves.. super cute.. tho urm it's abit cruel...

Second hot spring bath ! .. *yawnz* super tired. currently staying in Lake Toya Sun Palace... the outdoor hotspring was superb cos you can see the entire Lake Toya which is actually a volcanic crater. to get to the outside, you have to waddle ur way through this small "dog" gate which leads to the outdoor hotspring bath... cos it's all steam in the cold weather, it creates a very zen kind of ambience...

Day 1 (part 1)

25/12 12.30 am.



it's xmas and im at the airport... geez it's probably the third xmas which i missed. oh well, not as if i countdown to this day every yr. im not sure how true it is but PM lee might be on the same flight as us ^^ there's news that he's on a personal vacation. Guess it explains the stringent security check... they even checked my laptop. nth much, jus realised tt half the numbers of cabs in s'pore r probably here at the airport for some reason. it's abit kua1 zhang1...



First stop: Nagoya. Flight duration: 6 hrs. will be spending the following night at hotel Noboribetsu Manseikaku... seriously it's gets abit irritating when the clearance forms kept asking for the hotel name... looking forward to the xmas feast on the plane. i heard there would be turkey ^^

25 dec. it's xmas. @ Nagoya. we are in Italy.. kk it's Nagoya Italian Village. tho the place is great but somehow including this in the itinerary seemed abit off. thought it should be 100% japan-related. *shrugs*ooo... R21.

25/12 3.20 pm

on a domestic flight which heads further North to Hokkaido.lol. Our spirits were abi dampened after realising that one of our digi cams was stolen, lik jus minutes after the James, our tour guide, assured us that the crime rate was relatively low.. they kind of combined 2 tour groups with a total strength fo ard 50 in order to cut cost... so all of us had to pack ourselves into the bus lik sardines.. but tt's oni for the first day i guess..argh.. turbulence...

Day 1 (part 2)

on flight to Hokkaido... beautiful sun rise... homesick.Tamagotchi!! dam kawaii..
And we are here. Chitose Airport, Hokkaido. Temperature outside: -6 degree Celsius.

my hotel room w tatami mats. slept on mattress... hm.. pix looks abit creepy, lik the setting in The Ring. lol

Jus came back from hot spring... though it was my second time but i'd still fell rather awkward cos you are supposed to enter in buff, bath at a common bathing area like kids just to do by the riverside in the old days before entering the hot spring. Hotspring here is different, it's milkish- white cos of the highly sulphurous... in fact the streets smells of sulphur.. which is no different from the smell of fart.
