okie after doing nothing constructive for the past 3 hrs. i conclude that im really not in the studying mood today.

Current status wrt to fyp? I only met my prof once in a surprisingly short 20-min get-to-know-you-and-your-cap session, after which i was being pushed to this Dr Liu who seems like a nice guy. But im quite worried his patience would run out once he realises that im not exactly a very fast learner.

So far there has not been much progress, just a short discussion on what my "new" mentor was researching on and what i would be expecting, plus a short tour around the lab and a brief intro to the lab staff. Application for the lab pass to IMRE lab is still being processed, wed will be my first hands on (it's wk 3 alr btw).

Everything is going at such a very gradual pace that im starting to worry, but the more i read the more confused i get. Right now, im just feeling pretty lost and discouraged. hopefully i can set the direction im heading soon before i start to lose interest in this whole fyp thing.

Dear Mdm,
i don't understand why the school is paying you so much when you can't even get a simple job done. After at least 5 email exchanges, after telling me you HAVE ALREADY allocated me the module i requested for, i realised it is still not under the Allocated list. For goodness sake, in order not to exceed the workload, i DROPPED one of my tech electives that i have gotten to accommodate the module that YOU PROMISED to give to me. If it cannot be done, at least have the courtesy to tell me earlier so that i can still bid for another one.
